More About Farzana
I specialize in working with both individuals and couples who find themselves feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about their next steps. Whether you’re navigating depression, anxiety, relationship losses, chronic illness, or performance-based pressures, I believe that meaningful change is possible when we practice self-compassion, curiosity, and mindful awareness. In particular, I have a deep commitment to supporting those in cross-cultural, interracial, and LGBTQ+ relationships, as well as newcomers to Canada who may be seeking to build a new sense of home and community.
My therapeutic style is trauma-informed, integrative, relational, and anti-oppressive. I draw from evidence-informed approaches such as Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, the Developmental Model of Couple Therapy, CBT (Levels I and II), somatic psychotherapies, mindfulness, and self-compassion-based therapies. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive space—one where you can explore your story, develop healthy coping strategies, and ultimately co-create new meanings for your past and present experiences. I firmly believe that everyone carries an innate capacity for healing and growth.
